Description Umlilo Lodge. Situated in the little village of St Lucia on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Umlilo Lodge provides comfort and tranquillity within walking distance of the vibrant buzz of activity in the town’s main thoroughfare. St Lucia is part of The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, a World Heritage Site, and activities include excursions to Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve (a Big 5 destination), horseback safaris, deep-sea fishing, turtle tours, whale watching, walking trails, birding, kayaking and mountain biking.   The lodge has 11 air-conditioned rooms with en-suite bathrooms, all furnished in an elegant mix of bright fabrics and dark wood. The wooden walkways, fringed with lush vegetation, link the rooms to the lounge, dining area and boma and add to a feeling of relaxed outdoor living. Hostess, Es, knows the area well and will be able to advise on possible tours, restaurants, trails or indeed anything else that St Lucia has to offer.
