Your itinerary
DAY 1 → Kenya Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Kilimanjaro via Nairobi. On arrival transfer to the Serena Mountain Village in Arusha in a Standard room for one night.
DAY 3 → After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment with a seasonal lake which attracts numerous animals. The park is home to lions lazing in sausage trees, pods of hippo wallowing and clouds of pink flamingo. After lunch at the Serena Lodge, enjoy a game drive in the park then stay overnight in a Standard room (approx. 81 miles).
DAY 4 → Enjoy a morning game drive around the shores of Lake Manyara. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions, large troops of baboons and especially the herds of elephant. Then depart for Ngorongoro, stopping for lunch en route at Gibbs Farm, then visiting the Iraqw Tribes people before arriving at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge in a Standard room perched on the edge of the stunning crater (approx.99 miles).
DAY 5 → This morning explore the stunning crater and its wildlife with a picnic lunch then return to the Serena Lodge for an afternoon of soaking up the warm atmosphere and enjoying the amazing views (approx. 90 miles). The crater is at high altitude and can be cold, be sure to pack a mixture of warm and light clothing.
DAY 6 → Descend from the crater visiting Olduvai Gorge and the Serengeti plains, before entering the world famous National Park. After lunch, enjoy a game drive in the park and overnight at the Serengeti Serena Lodge in a Standard room (approx. 124 miles).
DAY 7 → This morning you may enjoy a balloon flight over the Serengeti, offering some amazing views of the Serengeti’s vast open plains (please call for details and to prebook). Enjoy game drives today, looking out for the big cats and much more!
DAY 8 → Drive to the Western corridor of the Serengeti enjoying a game drive en route, lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Overnight at Kirawira, a luxury tented camp in colonial style offering superb views over the plains and a different insight into the wonderful safari experience (approx. 62 miles).
DAY 9 → Light aircraft flight to Arusha for lunch, then fly Kenya Airways via Nairobi to Heathrow arriving next day.
